Prof. Abolfazl RaziClemson UniversityBio: Prof. Abolfazl Razi (Senior Member, IEEE) is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Computer Science, School of Computing, Clemson University. He held two postdoctoral positions with Duke University, from 2013 to 2014, and Case Western Reserve University, from 2014 to 2015, exploring the applications of machine learning in medical imaging and bioinformatics. He also served several years in the Wireless and Smart Card Industry, holding research and development and management positions. His research is supported by NSF, NIH, U.S. Airforce, Arizona Commerce Authority, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, BMW Research, Philips Healthcare, and the Arizona Board of Regents. His research results are published in three book chapters, and more than 100 journal articles and peer-reviewed conference papers. He also has developed several software packages and product prototypes. He is the co-inventor of three granted U.S. patents and three invention disclosures. His research interests include the interplay of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and secure networking with applications to aerial monitoring systems, AI-based networking, remote health monitoring, nano-scaled visual identifiers, driving safety analysis, and zero-trust the IoT environments. |

He received his Ph.D. in Electronic Science from Savitribai Phule Pune University, India. His research interests include machine olfaction. He is a member of the IEEE, a life member of the Instrumentation Society of India, and a life member of the Speed Society of India. He currently serves as an editorial board member for journals such as the International Journal of Robotics and Control and the International Journal of Physics and Robotics Applied Electronics. He has published 62 papers in national journals and conferences, authored 2 books, and holds 1 patent. |
